A little bit about me...
Ever since I was a child I loved writing stories, creating illustrated books with sticky tape bound spines for my younger brother, before moving on to writing full manuscripts on our first home computer with word processing software.
In 2003, after losing my job, I took the plunge and became a fulltime writer, beginning in traditional publishing. I became a staff writer for various magazines as well as being commissioned by The History Press and Fonthill Media for several non-fiction books.
In 2012, I moved into indie publishing, mainly as an experiment to see what it was all about, never realising it would end up being a career changer.
It began with Memories of the Dead, the first Clara Fitzgerald Mystery, which turned into a popular cosy mystery series with a swathe of dedicated fans. The Gentleman Detective came a few years later, as a spin-off to explore the late Victorian era.
Subsequently I have written in numerous genres, including horror, WWII spy thriller and dark romance.
These days my world revolves around my writing and I consider myself very lucky to be able to make a career out of my passion. I have made many friends across the reading community and love to support both new and established writers on their journeys.

When I am not writing, I spend my free time with my dogs, exploring the great outdoors or snuggled up reading.
