The funfair is in town and for Clara Fitzgerald, Brighton's first female private detective, it is a welcome distraction for one night from the terror that is stalking the town's backstreets.

Jao Leong's gang is becoming more powerful by the day and soon something must happen. Clara fears that can only mean violence.

For Clark Wolfman, American gunslinger and former bounty hunter, the night is about to become one of horror as a traumatic event results in him losing all memory of the last twelve years of his life.

Worse, there appears to be a killer after him, but what does his assailant want and how is it linked to his time in America? As more performers come under attack, Clara has to act fast to find the culprit and stop them before someone dies.
