Dragon Knight

After accidentally absorbing part of the soul of a dragon, Riva is heading home to speak to her grandfather and seek his counsel. Accompanied by Lexon, the knight who should have absorbed the full dragon's soul, Tylesin the demigod who is in danger from the Creatoress, and Gebert, the hapless sorcerer's apprentice, she makes her despondent way across the countryside.

However, all is not well at her home, for it turns out Hartnor, the Dragon Knight she and Lexon slew, has been here ahead of them.

With her grandfather badly injured, the town is unprotected and a band of local outlaws led by a man with his own supernatural abilities are trying to take advantage.

To make matters worse, Spider, the Creatoress' newest servant, is on the trail of Tylesin, determined to kill the demigod and retrieve the dragon's soul, even if that means murdering Riva and Lexon.

Forced to divide her time between her personal battles and a greater calamity, Riva swiftly finds herself thrown back into the fray. But what do her new powers mean for her and is she even in control of them?
