The Last Word in Pickles

Book 4

Peter Muckleburgh, great grandson of the recently deceased Ivan Muckleburgh - Founder of Muckleburgh Pickles, has been found dead, apparently having shot himself. The family have a reputation for suicides. Ivan Muckleburgh also shot himself, though the news has been kept from the papers.

At first glance, it all seems just another tragic episode in a dysfunctional rich family.

However, Adelaide, aunt to Peter, cannot believe her nephew killed himself and a chance meeting with Colonel Bainbridge gives her the opportunity to ask for his help. She needs to know what really happened on the fateful night Peter died in the gun room of his great grandfather's home.

But as Bainbridge and Victoria begin investigating, they swiftly discover there are many dark secrets being held by the family. Could Peter have been murdered after all? And if so, then could the killer be among his own family?
